The high-performance tool material is a category formed by adding >2.50% of V or ≥4.50% of Co or 0.80 to 1.20% of Al to the common tool material while increasing carbon. Its normal temperature hardness can reach 65~70HRC, and its wear resistance and heat resistance are significantly improved. It can be used in the processing of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel and high-strength steel.
Our company provides high-performance tool materials such as HYM35, HYM42, HYM2Al, HYM3, HYTV3.

(1) HYM35 (W6Mo5Cr4V2Co5)
HYM35, a high-performance high-speed steel containing 5% cobalt, has a hardness of HRC65-67 after heat treatment, and has excellent high-temperature hardness and good toughness. Due to its small carbide size, good machinability and heat treatment responsiveness, it is an ideal material for the manufacture of complex and high-hardness tools of various shapes. It is widely used in the manufacture of grinding drills, taps, gear cutters, punch punches and so on.

(2) HYM42 (W2Mo9Cr4VCo8)
HYM42 is a high-performance high-speed steel containing 8% cobalt. The main characteristics are as follows: high heat treatment hardness, high red hardness, good wear resistance, good machinability, suitable for manufacturing broach, end mill, band saw blade, car Knife and so on.

(3) HYM2Al (W6Mo5Cr4V2Al)
HYM2Al is a cobalt-free super-hard high-speed steel with a hardness of HRC66-68 after heat treatment. HYM2Al can replace M35 or even M42 on a variety of tools, which significantly reduces tool costs. The main characteristics are as follows: high quenching and tempering hardness and red hardness, good machinability and good wear resistance. The heat treatment process of the aluminum tool material is relatively strict. If the heat treatment is improper, especially after the deformation processing is improperly annealed, the phenomenon of mixed crystal and tool cutting and chipping is prone to occur.

(4) HYTV3 (CW5Mo6Cr4V3)
HYTV3 belongs to high vanadium high-speed steel. After special smelting process, the carbides in steel are dispersed, with excellent machinability and heat treatment consistency. Uniform and fine VC particles ensure excellent wear resistance and excellent properties. Grindability, suitable for manufacturing high quality taps, high wear resistance and high toughness and small size tools.
